[ Where is Timeline? ]

As we stated before, Timeline's finsihed and went Gold a while ago. We held the release for a bit in order to fix all our small server issues before releasing the game. Making sure there is no server problem such as IP propagation is a good thing before marketing the new game.

As for GenerationS, we're progressing fast on that front. We just finished one of the major and most impressive component of the game this week.

It is going to rock. I'm just waiting for my marketing Gurus to give me the go ahead to reveal all the good stuff about that new gem.

[ New Employee! ]

There's a new employee at DCS! Here's his picture:

His name's Arnold (cause he's thought as nail - he survived over 12 hours out of his natural element). He entered DCS through the backdoor (literary). He hitchhiked a ride on some Live Rock we bought for our 75 Gallon saltwater office aquarium. While Arnold is a little arrogant and unpredictable (some of his family members have been known to eat other employees!), it was written on his resume that he is quite good at cleaning up part of the office.

We'll see how it goes...

[ A big news ]

Well. I guess I can finally come out and say it.

A marketing firm took a look at FaitH and GenerationS and loved what they saw. Basically, we're on the verge of inking a deal which would turn over marketing duty to them while I keep on working on the games themselves. Which means that if everything goes according to plan, there should be many more people reading this in a couple of months, more updates to your favorite game(s) and better support.

This may or may not change GenerationS and Timeline's release schedule. Timeline's Gold and ready to roll and GenerationS is progressing very well. I guess it all depends on the strategy we'll be using. I'll keep you posted.

For you oldies you might remember that we once did something like that with Terin. The difference is that Terin was (back in the day) a relative maketing newbie. And we did not launch a game nor relaunch FaitH. Everyone knows it's harder to sell an older game than start marketing on a new one from ground zero.

Still, he did very well considering these and other facts. However, this marketing firm has a bigger staff, bigger ideas and more contacts. They know what they're talking about. This, coupled with the fact that GenerationS will be launched with this firm behind it from day 1 means we should get a big influx of people for both FaitH and GenerationS.

I'll keep you posted...

[ Alive and Well ]

Yes. I am alive and well. As some of you know, when we go quiet around here it means we have big news coming that we can't talk about.

I might have more info before the weekend....

[ Hip to be Square? ]

Just wondering. You're all strategy gamers. What do you think is better in a game about armies and movement?

Square, Hex or Isometric?

I'm not talking about FaitH's build city here. A real "move your army on a map" kinda game.

Personally, I prefer the look of Isometric tiles but the gameplay of Square or Hex. Actually, I see no big difference gameplay-wise between Hex and Squares. I dunno why Squares get a bad rep.

Please vote here. It's really important.
